God is already working mightily as I have been busy in these first few months.

THE NEXT GENERATION

I continue to counsel with some teen-agers in efforts for prevention. In February I shared with the Youth group at First Baptist Church Kingwood!

HISPANIC MINISTRY

God continues to give me more opportunities to minister in Spanish in person, by phone, or e-mail. It was a great blessing to minister in Guadalajara last fall. I still correspond by e-mail with a young social worker who came to me with many questions after my talk there. She is really being challenged in the permissive attitude of her work environment. More and more routinely I find myself ministering in Spanish these days. In the past week I was following up with a distraught parent in Mexico, as well as counseling a Hispanic struggler here at my office. I am also currently discipling someone in Spanish.

LIVING WATERS

We are now at the halfway point with our intensive Living Waters discipleship course. It continues weekly through June. Our group consists of 8 men and 3 women. Russ Kennedy, one of last year’s participants is interning as music leader and small group leader!

EQUIPPING SEMINARS

At the FREEDOM FROM HOMOSEXUALITY seminar 2/20, a black pastor from Third Ward attended, as well as Beaumont couple ready to begin a ministry in their church! They tell me that they have already begun a group, and may ask me to give a seminar there. A woman from the DFW area also recently contacted me with questions about starting a ministry. I see increasing opportunities to encourage and train up new laborers in ministry.

In addition to that couple in Beaumont, I have been in contact with Darryl L. Foster, an Afro-American pastor in Waco. His ministry Witness Freedom Ministries is one of the few ex-gay ministries among the Afro-American community. He is doing a conference April 23-24, which I may be attending

MEDIA MESSAGES

I did a radio interview with Mike Richards, Jr. on KJOJ, and also was with Russ Kennedy when he gave his testimony KLTJ-channel 22 in late March. I hope to schedule some other interviews soon.

FRENCH CONNECTION

May 22-29 I attend the Exodus International-Europe conference in France. I was asked to consider being an Exodus missionary to France, so this will help give me more cultural and spiritual insights. I will also be visiting friends and ministry contacts there through June 8.
