GOD SEX AND ME GOD SEX AND ME October 1 at Grace Presbyterian. This is a national program for teens and is used throughout the US. I was preceded by three weeks of sessions which gave a base for talking about homosexuality. Exodus colleague, Mike Haley with Focus on the Family was the main speaker to a large group of teens and parents. Then I did a break out session with parents afterwards. I received lots of positive feedback.
Luis Palau Cityfest October 7-8. I volunteered at the Spanish Main Stage information booth, and also served as a prayer counselor in Spanish. There were about a quarter million in attendance those two days, with about 80,000 Hispanics in attendance. There were almost 4,000 decisions for Christ, about a fourth of that number being Spanish speaking. I also was able to introduce CCR ministry to many.
This took place in Buna, a small town north of Beaumont, TX. There were 500+ in attendance, teens from 13-19 from the surrounding area. The sessions were Identity, Boundaries, Consequences, and Commitment. I spoke on identity, first with guys, then the girls. Good response. It is great to be involved in preventive talks!
This conference was hosted by Exodus Latin America November 1-4. There were over 200 in attendance from the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Argentina, and Peru. The theme of the conference Jesus Christ: Door of Hope. I informally coordinated the prayer team and prayer ministry the first day during the opening plenary sessions by longtime friend, Andy Comiskey. I also gave three workshops: “Reconciliation between parents and their homosexual children”, Overcoming Pain and Shame [in Recovery], and “How to dialog with a homosexual”
Since 1994 this organization has grown from 0 ministries and volunteer coordinator to 9 ministries and full time paid coordinator! I saw various larger groups this year. I also reconnected with Pastor Daniel Romero and his group from Putla (where I ministered last year). I love encouraging a new US Latino leader in his first ministry opportunity in Spanish outside of US. It was wonderful to see the hunger and openness of the entire group for information and ministry
An unexpected blessing and opportunity was running into missionary Bruce Moon who has been pasturing a church Comunidad de Fe for more than 20 years in the Mexico City area. He and I had met long ago at the Encourager Church, so our casual friendship has been through e-mail for years. He asked me to share my testimony Sunday morning at his church of about 100. So I was privileged to do that the last day before catching my fight back to Houston!

We have more challenges than ever! We are the sole full-time ministry in Houston, and we are being stretched. Today’s teens and young adults have bought into popular media propaganda. If we do not give them the truth about God’s plan of sexuality, we have lost this next generation! Please keep us in your prayers; introduce us to your church and persons needing our resources. We are a resource for churches needing training/mentoring in this crucial area. Please consider a generous year-end gift to CCR, and/or joining us as a CCR financial partner for 2007. We are committed to reaching as many as possible. Thank you so much for your financial support, prayers, and words of encouragement.
