HOUSTON PRESS

If you missed seeing the HOUSTON PRESS article “The Reorient Express”, you can find it at Houston Press. In addition to me, Craig Malisow also interviewed Kyle, Randy Thomas from Exodus central office, two pro-gay ministers, and an ex ex-gay. No photos of me, and Christian Coalition for Reconciliation was never mentioned by name ( it did mention that I led an Exodus ministry). I have received an inquiry from a man desperate to know what we have to offer. Continue praying that God uses it to accomplish His Purposes Ken Garza on KKHT radio 1070 AM has committed to a monthly interview with me. The program is DYNAMIC HOUSTON and airs 6:30pm to 7:00pm.

UPLIFT

Please continue to pray for Ginny and Kay, as the monthly UPLIFT parents and friends meeting continues to grow. We have new parents attending each month. God continues to grow our Barnabas group. It is very ethnically diverse, with African-Americans, Asians, Hispanics, and Caucasians. Interest continues to build about the pilot support group for Texas A & M students in College Station! That will be November 6. At least 4 young men are anxiously waiting for that meeting. The next day, November 7 I will share at a Sunday School Class for young singles at First Baptist.

MORE THAN WORDS

October 16 I shared my testimony at Tim Wilkins’ conference MORE THAN WORDS in Lufkin. It also gave me the opportunity to minister to some Houston parents whose son I am counseling. October 23 I taught at the TEXODUS regional conference in San Antonio. Ginny, another parent, and 4 of our Barnabas group also attended. It was a first time experience for several Again I had some time for ministry to a Houston father and son, in addition to my teaching responsibilities.

LOVE WON OUT

Next year CCR will be in charge of hosting a conference here in Houston. By the way, mark February 19, 2005 on your calendars for the Focus on the Family LOVE WON OUT conference here in Houston at Grace Community Church. CCR will be exhibiting there as well.
