CHURCHES PARTNERING WITH CCR

I am very thankful for Frank Estes and my friends at West Oaks Fellowship as they served as church base for me last year and still graciously provide office space for CCR. I am also enjoying new relationships with my new church family at First Baptist Church-Houston. I have loved being member of Beth Moore’s Bible study, the PERSPECTIVES missions course, and PROJECT HOUSTON.

Our ministry mailing address remains the same: PO Box 420437, Houston, TX 770242-0437, but our PHONE NUMBER is 281 497 7044.

FREEDOM FROM HOMOSEXUALITY

This year the CCR team presented this seminar at the First Assembly of God in Rosenberg, as well as Sagemont Church. Presentations with Singles at Lakewood, Grace Presbyterian, and First Baptist Deer Park. Session at College of Biblical Studies TEACH conference, teaching a counseling session to Southwestern Seminary Extension students.

GROUP TALK

The Barnabas group on Monday nights continues with 5-10 men. We just finished GROWTH INTO MANHOOD by Alan Medinger. We will resume again in August with FALLING FORWARD by Craig Lockwood. We have teaching, discussions , accountability and support.

LIVING WATERS graduated a very culturally diverse group from our six months program on July 1. Adrienne , Anthony, and James were wonderful teachers and leaders. We have already selected trainees for LIVING WATERS 2005, as well.

Adrienne stays very busy with individually mentoring the women who come to us for help. Please pray with us about the possibility of women’s group.

PARENTS AND FRIENDS

We have not forgotten you. Ginny and Kay are new leaders for the monthly meetings at 7:30pm on the third Monday of each month. Call CCR office for more details.

ARGENTINA TRIP 17-31 MAY

After a few days in Buenos Aires, I joined a team of about 15 associated with LW-Desert Stream for the LIVING WATERS training in Cordoba, 22-29 May!

There were about 60 participants from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Mexico. The daily schedule included morning session, small group, afternoon workshop, small group, and evening sessions. I led a small group of 4 men: 2 Chileans, a Mexican, and an Argentine. Ministry sessions focused on God the Father’s love, Healing Mother and Father wounds, Roots of gender brokeness, Sexual addiction and abuse, Renouncing idols, Restoring the true masculine and true feminine, cross and confession, and forgiveness. In such a macho society, there is so much secrecy and hurt. It was such a blessing to be available to minister God’s healing to them. I have already received many e-mails of sharing the excitement of all the work God had done in their lives that week in Cordoba. Many of them have shared their testimonies of God’s goodness and want to utilize Living Waters in their own churches. They can have an impact throughout Latin America about God’s healing message!

These days with the Family Amendment Act, various states reconsidering marriage laws, there is much more to be done to informing the public about homosexuality There are still too few churches here in Houston utilizing CCR as training/mentoring resources, or help with the funding for us continue as a viable full-time ministry. This is our ONLY fundraising effort during the year!!.

Please keep us in your prayers, introduce us to your church, and consider financial investment. We are so blessed by your interest and concerns.
