SPANISH OPPORTUNITIES

Early April I enjoyed my interview on teen sexuality with Samuel Rodriguez on DILES, a Spanish program for adolescents taped at the local TBN station Channel 14. Although it was taped locally, it aired in 55 different Spanish speaking countries. I am interested to see opportunities it may present.

TV PERSONALITY

On May 20 I was at KUHF TV studios for CONNECTIONS. The show discussed the pending case about revoking Texas existing anti-sodomy law for gay couples. Activist Ray Hill, attorney Mitchell Katin (promoting the repeal), UST professor Terri Collett, and I were in a 20-minute segment. After the show I was able to share my testimony personally with host Ernie Manouse.

BARNABAS GROUP

The men’s Barnabas group on Monday nights continues to have an attendance of 5-10. We are studying BREAKING FREE by Russell Willingham. It deals with sexual addiction in general. We have already had some valuable discussions as we have been fine-tuning the definitions of accountability and support, as well as the need for both.

EXODUS

The Exodus national conference takes place in Orlando July 21-26 this year, and we are urging our group members to attend. Last year we had 4 men go, in addition to Dale and myself. Both Dale and I will be teaching this year. I will do one on countering gay apologetics.

THE MAP, an interactive DVD has been really helpful in counseling the teenager who comes to see me.

TESTIMONIES

Adrienne, Sharon, and I gave our testimonies at Shalom Congregation Shalom/Nathaniel Center in Humble on May 3! Response was enthusiastic, and someone gave his life to Christ that night!

Trinity Fellowship Church in southeast Houston hosted the FREEDOM FROM HOMOSEXUALITY seminar there May 24. This was our first opportunity to have it at an African-American church! Continue to pray with me about other seminar dates with other churches for 2003.

LIVING WATERS 2003

LIVING WATERS graduation too place June 27. Adrienne and Dale were wonderful teachers and leaders. We have nine who completed the course, of which at least two have mentioned interest in leadership for next year.
